Israeli soldiers detain Palestinian and international protestors during a demonstration against the construction of the controversial Israeli cement barrier in the West Bank village of Nilin near Ramallah. Palestinian, Israeli, and international activists have held weekly protests for more than two years in Bilin against the Israel's construction of a separation wall in the area. In 2004 the International Court of Justice issued a non-binding ruling declaring parts of the barrier illegal because they were built inside the occupied West Bank, but Israel has pressed ahead with its construction
